Meaning, it should not be on a scrap of lined paper, or a half-finished thumbnail in the corner of a sketchbook. They should on decent paper and have a clear line around where you intend the border of the art to be.

Classic cover assignment
Cover Illustration for a classic.
Your assignment is to create a cover illustration for a classic title listed below.
Size: *Final 6 x 9 (illustration can be larger)
Wrap around: define potential problems with this format.
Full color, oils,
*Final is the printed cover - not the painted image

What's required:
15 solid thumbs in the proportion to the cover
The thumbnails need to be presented in even rows and the page (s) should be mounted on foam board with a cover sheet.
You 'll be graded on quality of idea and professionalism of presentation.
Presentation for the comp and final need to be mounted with cover sheets, too.
All presentations need a two inch border around the mounted page, with 2 and a half inches below.

Threes
Peter Cusack is an artist and Professor of Art and Art History at St. John’s University and FIT in New York, and a member of both the Society of Illustrators and the Art Students League. Being born, bred, seasoned and sizzled in New York City, Peter’s work is imbued with the spirit of the city. With sketchbooks full of subway denizens, Peter received his dream assignment when invited to propose mural designs for the new Metro-North subway station at Yankee Stadium, and the restoration of the 153rd Street Parkchester station. His work has been exhibited in the New York Transit Museum, the Society of Illustrators, and the Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby traveling group show.

Research photos of Lady Gaga, select and print five to be used as reference
Achieve her likeness
Be inventive and creative with the theme.
Investigate the format and size of the cover.
Research the cover archive link at Time.com
The Time banner needs to blend in and be incorporated into the design of the illustration.
The headline True Crimes or Modern Romance must be included.
